Our Story

Hi, My name is Tom, I am currently 29 years old and I have been effectively managing my own IBD symptoms for over two years through numerous different practices that I classify as a ‘holistic’ approach. In this guide-book I will give you a detailed outline of every segment of this holistic treatment, giving you a step-by-step toolkit that you can start implementing into your daily routine immediately to start feeling better and get back to doing the things you love most.

For 3 years I suffered with Ulcerative Colitis, I researched and tried many many different avenues, different diets including liquids only, bone broths, chicken soup diets. I spent hundreds of dollars on probiotic treatments all of which gave me some relief initially, if any, some did nothing at all. I saw naturopaths, dieticians, and doctors, all of whom presented me with a band-aid approach, while I continued to lose weight and go through flares that made me question my existence. During the middle of this, my father passed away from brain cancer. His decline lasting about a year put so much stress on my body that I was in a constant flare. It was the most painful experience of my life, and I needed to figure a way out. 

I came across something that would change my life and reset my system back to full health. I began to learn about the principles of Ayurveda, If you do not know about Ayurveda, it is an ancient universal wisdom that governs how our bodies and the world should function. Ayur means life, and Veda means knowledge. The Vedas are texts that were written over 3000 years ago in India and have been taught and implemented since then. They are the main form of health treatment in India, and treatments used enable the body to revert back to homeostasis using natural herbs and energetic practices such as meditation. The principles of Ayurveda are largely based around digestion and how to optimise it, as it is believed that all disease is initiated by imbalances in the digestive system.
